July has flown by for me - this month I was at the launch of the new Captain Tortue Autumn/Winter collection in Birmingham and this will be with me in the studio very soon.

Apart from being a great event the clothes are amazing - as usual very stylish and elegant with some splashes of red and green amongst the more muted colours.

There is also a lot of petrol blue - this is a very flattering colour for most and allows you to look a bit different without being too out there.

I love this cerise pink jacket in Marks and Spencer. As well as being a bright cheerful colour it is a great cut for outdoor wear - cut and colour are so important when dressing well - baggy ill-fitting clothes can make you look huge and it is far better to wear some vibrant colour instead of black which looks so dull on most of us! £75

 I've had a super busy week this week starting with Personal Shopping in Glasgow on Monday for a new look with a new client.

After our initial profiling in John Lewis cafe we headed into the store itself and stayed there for 3 hours!

The clothes are fabulous right now with a great range of both casual and office wear and the staff this time were very helpful allowing us to take a lot of things into the fitting rooms.

On Wednesday I was exhibiting my French Captain Tortue clothing range at Forth Valley Women in Business networking event at The Stirling Highland Hotel.
